Friday
A pretty uneventful day with the only notable events being 1) my haircut and 2) bus rides.
For my haircut, i was contemplating where to go to cut my hair. It was a choice to pay 6 bucks and go to China Town or to go near my home and pay a minimum of 10 bucks. After considering, I decided to go to China Town since there was a direct bus from my work place. Cut my hair exceedingly short because it was necessary to remove the excess hair which irritates me constantly. I like short hair. Event 2. Bus rides. Folks, how many times do u take a bus?? For me, I took at least 6 buses today. 980 to work, 961 to China Town, 80 to Bugis, 851 to Novena, 166 to Thomson Plaza and 167 home. And for the record, in 1.5hrs i took 4 buses just to return home. That's just crazy.... I do have a bus stamp but then taking 4 buses in such a short time is well.... Crazy.

Did not attend overnight prayer meeting today because of the tiredness i feel due to events over the past weeks.

Saturday
Tried to sleep in but failed since i woke up every now and then. Guess i just need to sleep early to regain my strength. Went to buy comics before taking some time to visit my grandfather. Then made my way to HDB Hub for tennis with the young adults. Had a bit of fun though i think folks got hit by 2 balls which flew out of the tennis courts. After taking time to fellowship, made our ways to Pris' home for prayer meeting. Had a good time there praying and fellowshipping before i returned home. Needed to sleep early in order to last on sunday.

Sunday
Woke up at 7am and prepared myself for church. Went for 830am English Service (1st Service) to hear the message preached by Dr Hubert Spence. Then during Sunday School, I was tasked to help sell the books and CDs brought by Dr Spence. Missed the sharing by Uncle HS as i could not really listen carefully. After that went for 1130am English Service (2nd Service) to listen to Dr Spence preach a different message. As this message dragged a little, I decided to forgo lunch and to just remain in Church for Chinese Service at 2pm. Dr Spence spoke at Chinese service as well with interpretation by Rev Koo.

Simply, I went for 3 services to hear Dr Spence preach and i was blessed by the Word of God spoken by Dr Spence. Truly, he is a man of God and needs the prayers of saints to continue to give him the strength to serve our Risen Saviour for as long as required. I made a decision to attend 3 services so as to receive blessings from God as i missed the camp over the past week. I could tell that by the end of 3 messages, Dr Spence was exhausted but God strengthened him to finish. This Sunday(11Dec2005) was also the first time i had 3 rounds of Holy Communion due to my staying for 3 services. And a triple portion of blessings as stated by Ivan?

After Chinese service, me and a number of youths went for the Christmas with SSo concert. And it was disappointing to have a reduced program just because we had tickets for the afternoon matinee. And a piece was terribly disappointing due to its Jazz flavour which spoils the Nutcracker totally. But the Sing-along was good. The SSO also gives CDs out to folks whose program has a star but for the 16 of us who went, not one got a star. After the concert, we went to eat less 4 folks (2 couples?) who went off first. Dinner was at Funan Foodcourt and Ms Y has graciously treated the youths to drinks. After dinner, we went our separate ways home with me needing to go back to church to collect my car. Was talking with Ms Y waiting for the east bound train before Kool, PJ, Han and Kez turned up. They wanted to take the train to Marina Bay in order to get a seat on the train. I offered them a ride in my car if they wanted to travel back to church with me. And they misinterpreted by words so i shall give an interpretation of what i say in my next post.

Monday
Slept early like 1030pm the night before so that i was able to wake up at 3am. Why am I waking up so early? It is because Dr Spence and Dr Wilson are returning back to US on the 6am flight and they are required to be at the airport before 4am. I left my home at 310am and drove the Changi Airport. I was the first to arrive at 335am discounting Uncle SH who drove Dr Spence and Dr Wilson to the airport. I had a shock when i got to the airport as the row they were to check in was packed. So i managed to locate Dr Spence and helped them with their bags and had a chat with them as we approached the counter. Managed to talk to them briefly before they got to security. After that, uncle SH and I waited at Jollibean for them to come out. It was then Uncle Joe and Auntie Sha turned up with ZH. After which, uncle HS also came followed by the Koos (Rev K, Mrs K, Kool and PJ) then Ivan and Rev Yong came. Then Pastor, Rev Seet, Mrs Seet, Ms Ng, Yikai, Rev Tang, Mary, Susy and Rach arrived. About 21 of us turned up to send Dr Spence and Dr Wilson off. Much more than the last time they were here. I could tell that Dr Spence was touched that so many of us came especially the youths. We had a short time of fellowship before Dr Spence and Dr Wilson had to enter and check in. They went in about 440am and we waved them off before returning back to our cars and home. Thank God for the time we had there and for journey mercies to bring us home.

I got home about 505am and tried to sleep at 515 but had spurts of sleep before i awoke at 630am with my alarm clock. Then i went to work. Work was okay but felt more tired as the day passed and by the time i knocked off i was about to sleep. I managed to sleep on the bus but woke up after some time. Interesting about the bus ride was that a stretch of road normally taking 5mins to cross became a 20min trip as the police had to close a lane for some "unknown" reason. Police line was taped to block it off so it must be serious. Went home and slept at before 10am due to extreme tiredness.

Tuesday(Today)
Woke up normally but was late and missed the bus i normally take. That made me late for work by 5mins. Basically had a normal day at work. But my supervisor came down for a talk with me. And it was a shocker since i did not expect her to come since my supervisor wasn't around. Then even more shocking was that she said that i was her only student NOT to submit the logbook to her. So after the interview, i did my logbook as quick as i could and emailed it to her. Basically the interview was to find out how i was doing in my organisation. Today made a mistake at work but was able to clear it with help from the IT department. So thank God for that.
