Thanksgiving, Birthdays and Pain

YF and YAF thanksgiving today. Things didn't really start off well but the Lord undertook for us and things went alright once the thanksgiving service was underway. Things weren't good since i took over the role of Ms Y as the song item coordinator. I'm highly unqualified to lead the song item but did the best i could by the grace of God. Very few folks turned up on time for the practise so we were short of people but did what we could with whoever was there. Youth song item went relatively well.

Hymnsheets for the thanksgiving service wasn't enough (i printed 40 and we had 40+ blue hymn books) and i rushed another 15 copies out by the 2nd song. And we were still short so folks had to share. Hope it wasn't too much of an inconvenience for them. Lucas did an excellent job of chairing the service. Much better than when i chaired last year. I did the highlights of 2005 and upcoming events of 2006. Showed simple photos taken of youth activities. Nothing fancy and did not have the time as well to make it very good.

P Ferg*son gave us an excellent message that would challenge us to know God more and to shine for Him. It motivates me at the very least to live for God and do Honour Him and not to strive for my own glory. May God keep me close to Him for i cannot by my strength draw close to Him.

After the service ended, we had a special birthday celebration for youths born in Jan. Which are Isaac, Ms Y, LayZ, Z-man and YY. Of which only Z-man, YY and LayZ were around. We celebrated for them and then had refreshments and fellowship. And then i disappeared home.

Pain. Simply due to my aching back. Feeling sharp jots of pain running down by lower back and into the heels of my feet. Its a pulsating pain that irritates me more than anything. Also leads to some numbness of my left hand. Reason cos its the spine. I pray that the Lord will heal me of this pain.
