New Year's Eve

Basically had nothing much to do in the morning. Woke up early even though i wasn't able to get a good sleep the previous night..... Basically read digital comics once i awoke and continued till lunch time. Called Limei who asked if i can go sing at uncle chengjin's mom's funeral. reply was that i wasn't sure as i'll be at rachel's for a gathering later. After lunch i attempted to sleep but had less than an hour of sleep before i was awoken to help my dad move a plant. The plant was an big plant which he wanted to move to the back of the house. So it was super tiring to carry the big pot through the house with my dad and the painter. After that, i wasn't able to sleep cos my shirt was dirty so just sat around in my room till it was about time for me to leave for rachel's. I left my home 440pm, went to NTUC to get some drinks before going to her place. I reached her place at 530pm which was the exact time the rest of the youths (who met at Outram park mrt at 430pm) reached. In rachel's house, we had a short sharing by uncle yew song about the mission trip in malaysia. And we could see the mercy of God in sparing the youths and His beloved children. After the sharing, we had a time of fellowship together eating and talking, playing with hamster and guinea pigs. Finally, we had a birthday cake for Rachel who celebrated her 22nd birthday. Its a belated bday celebration cos her actual bday was on the 30th Dec. After the cutting and eating of the cake, we had to go to watchnight service. We had to split our group as the chinese and english congregation had the service at different places. So a big group of youths comprising of Alvin, Longquan, Joshua Z and a number of girls took a bus down to church. While we tried to split the remaining youths into 2 cars to go to church. In the end, i took rachel, Ms Y, cyndi and gloria with me to church. In church we had to wait a while because pastor wasn't there yet. He went to the funeral service so he was a little late.

Watchnight service

Elder Seet (now Reverend Seet) conducted the watchnight service. He lead us in singing hymns of praises to God before requesting members of the congregation to come forth to give their testimonies. Quite a lot of people stepped forth to give their testimonies but for the youths only 2 gave. Longquan and myself. I was kinda 'arrowed' to go and give because Rev Seet looked at me and then said "Jonathan?" So i had to go up and give my testimony. This is actually the first time in 3 years in JSM that i was able to attend the watchnight service. The 1st year i had a role as Duty Medic so wasn't able to come. the 2nd year i was overseas in HK and China. This 3rd year i was able to attend. I find that watchnight service is truly a time of great blessing and encouragement to God's children. We can hear each other's sharings and their testimonies. Watchnight service started at 910pm and ended around 1220am.

After watchnight service, i stayed behind for overnight prayer. I suppose that this is one of the times where i see alot of people at overnight prayer. More adults stayed behind and we all enjoyed our time of communion with God. Overnight prayer is truly a time of great blessing and close fellowship with God. Prayer ended at 230am(overshot the time we were supposed to end by a little but no one really complained about that) After the prayer, i took ethan, Mr Lim and Mrs Lim with me in my car and i sent them to their home before i returned to mine. After i got home, i bathed then chatted with dorcas for a little while before sleeping. Slept at 4am. Needed to wake up before 830am tomorrow to prepare for New Year Service.
