I used to have Dreams of sadness and dreams of darkness. But Jesus Christ has come to give me light. Now my dreams are life and of life eternal with Him in glory.

Studs, Shin and Ball.

Today played soccer despite of my back pain. Kinda like a stupid move due to the irritating pain i kept feeling throughout the game. Actually had no intention of playing soccer and just wanted to go home to get some rest. However, I received a call in the car from my neighbours and decided to go play since it was in the PM and won't clash with my visit and dinner at my grandfather's.

Now here is where the title of this post comes in. I was playing defense as the last man (as usual cos i'm a defender and excels in that role) and had to run to block a ball that was coming through. So i stuck my leg out and hit the ball away just as my friend's friend was about the strike the ball. Now what happens is that there is no ball cos its replaced with my foot. And i just struck studs into the right side of my shin with his weight into it. Thank God my ankle didn't break and there was no serious harm done to my leg. Its pretty amazing considering the angle of my foot and how the studs went in. Right now, there's just a bruise and no serious injury. What amazes me is that i could still turn and ask the one who struck me whether he was okay. He looked at me strangely and said that's what he should be asking me. All's okay and its by God's grace that i can still stand and walk.

After playing soccer, went to my grandfather's place for dinner. Dinner looks to be a great preview of what reunion dinner would be like. Sat is the time for the reunion dinner with my mother's side. I never have a reunion dinner with my dad's side before and its unlikely going to start now.

---- Today key events ----
A group study with Uncle Joseph on Borders in our life. We face borders going into the promised land (at Jordan and Kadeshbarnea) and in the promised land where we will face the border to the Holy land. So where do i stand in my Christian walk? Am i lingering at the border waiting to cross the river Jordan? am i refusing to cross and to remain in the wilderness? Am i in the promised land? I know i'm at the border lingering there. May God bring me and lead me to give up my hidden sins to follow Him and enter the promised land.

We had a sermon by Rev Lim. It was on the Kingdom of Christ. Do we look forward to Christ's Kingdom and do we praise Him when we see His Kingdom come? Truly this is what i ask myself. Do i lay up so many treasures here on this earth that i do not want Christ to come? Do i place so much care on what i get in this world, the honour, the glory of man that i do not want to receive the praise of Christ? Are grades and worldly goals (promotion, money, possessions) all there is to my life? What have I done for Christ? This is what all Christians should ask themselves and what I need to ask myself most of all. Food for thought my brothers and sisters. Food for thought.
